Fantasia Testifies in Boyfriend’s Child Custody Case

This week, the court doors remain closed but reporters close to the news story said that Fantasia Barrino was called upon to testify in Charlotte during her boyfriend’s child custody case.  The singer allegedly gave her testimony on Monday.

As she testified, Barrino said that from the first day of her relationship, she knew that her boyfriend Antwaun Cook was married and still residing with his wife.  Two sources that were inside of the courtroom made this information public.  However, both sources asked not be identified due to the sensitivity of the information pertaining to the case.

Last summer, the singer publicly acknowledged her relationship. However, she said at that time she did not know her boyfriend was married.  Soon after, Cook’s wife, Paula, decided to file a lawsuit against him.  Fantasia then garnered media attention after she overdosed on aspirin as well as other pills.

Fantasia also allegedly told the court that she had an abortion while pregnant with Cook’s child and that she overdosed in August.
