Avril Lavigne’s Divorce is Final

This week it has been announced that Avril Lavigne and her rocker husband Deryck Whibley have at last finalized their divorce.  It is also reported that the couple finalized the division of their guitars.

On Tuesday in Los Angeles, court records indicate that a judge approved the terms of the divorce. Under the divorce agreement, each performer is allowed to keep the rights to their song catalogs, awards as well as their guitars.  Additionally, neither side will receive spousal support.

In 2002, Lavigne shot into stardom with her album “Let’s Go”.  In 2009, she filed for divorce from her husband and she cited irreconcilable differences.  Her former husband is a guitarist and vocalist in the band Sum 41.

Lavigne and Whibley got married in July 2006 and they have no children together.
