Michael Douglas in Dispute over Divorce Agreement

No one understands the high cost of divorce quite like actor Michael Douglas. Lawyers for the actor and his ex-wife Diandra met in court earlier this week to dispute earnings of the upcoming sequel to the Academy award-winning Wall Street.  After 23 years of marriage, but couple divorced in 2000 and Douglas married actress Catherine Zeta-Jones later that year.  Now, attorneys for the Diandra say that she is only entitled to half the earnings Douglas made before their 1995 separation.

Due to all the legal battles, the couple has spent a great deal of money on legal fees and disputing the terms of their divorce.  Generally, divorce costs families between $20,000 to $50,000, but sources monitoring the actor’s case say that his divorce has cost him significantly more than that figure.
